The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd. has assured the public that there is no imminent increase in the cost of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol.
NNPC Ltd. in a press statement by its Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Sonoye, urged Nigerians to disregard rumours that made the rounds on Wednesday, of a possible increase in pump price of PMS to N1,200 per litre, assuring that there are no plans for an upward review of the PMS price.
The statement therefore, advised motorists and the public against engaging in panic buying, as there is ample availability of PMS across the country.
