A woman identified as Faiza Abdulkadir, who works as a cleaner in Maiduguri, Borno State, has returned the sum of N4.8 million that was mistakenly paid into her account.
The National Orientation Agency (NOA), praising Faiza, in a statement on Wednesday, said she suddenly found herself in a situation that put her integrity to the test yet, instead of holding on to it, she chose integrity over temptation.
“In a world where poverty often pressures people into compromise, her courage reminds us that true wealth is not measured in money, but in character,” the NOA wrote on its official X account.
It added that Faiza’s story is a powerful reminder that honesty still shines bright in Nigeria, and that light will never go unnoticed.
