Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano has reassured that the state’s election will take place on November 6, 2021, without imposition of a state of emergency. Obiano said all plans had been concluded to deploy more security to ensure safety of life and property. The Governor said this during the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) campaign rally, at the Ezechima Primary School, Onitsha, Onitsha North Local Government Area (LGA).
Obiano, who cautioned hoodlums to leave the state, restated his commitment towards providing necessary facilities to promote good living in the city. “Our security is on ground especially in major towns in Anambra state. We will deploy more in addition to the ones we have. So don’t be afraid of anything or hoodlums who want to boycott the election. “I assure you that APGA will win again. We will record another 21 over 21. We have the best candidate in the person of Soludo. Soludo is a world class personality. He has connections across the world.
As the former CBN Governor, he managed the country’s economy, so managing Anambra’s economy is a small thing for him.” Gov Obiano said. The candidate of APGA, Prof Chukwuma Soludo noted that APGA Government had transformed Onitsha into a global outlook. Soludo said he would ride on the achievements of Gov. Obiano to continue to project the state into the limelight. “We have legacy projects that can guarantee victory for APGA. Governor Obiano has done his campaign by his legacies which will have left indelible marks on the minds of Ndi Anambra. “Other parties have nothing to campaign for. The International Convention Centre is of international standard. The airport is the be all and end all of all his projects. Very soon, the world will be landing in Anambra State. You can imagine the impact on our economy. So therefore, we need someone like Chukwuma Soludo, Charley Nwa-mgbafor to sustain these legacies.” Soludo emphasized.
The Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Mr Uche Okafor said the campaign was a means of improving awareness of the Governor’s projects, which had created an indelible mark on the minds of the people. The Member representing Anambra East and West at the National Assembly, Mr Chinedu Obidigwe, urged the people to continue in the excellent manner they had been supporting APGA, so as to achieve victory on Nov. 6. The Commissioner for Agriculture, Nnamdi Onukwuba, assured that he and his colleagues, appointed by the Government, would deliver on the APGA mandate. The member representing Onitsha North 2, Mr Edward Ibuzo, said the Nov. 6 Governorship elections would redefine the future of the youths, saying only APGA offered hope to the people. Ibuzo said the ongoing APGA campaigns were a contract-signing process to seal the deal as APGA was sure of emerge victorious overwhelmingly at the poll.
Ibuzo also said that statistics had shown that Obiano remained the best and that the candidate of APGA, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, would perform better than Gov. Obiano. “On Soludo we stand, and for him we will cast our vote. We must be alert against those people who are planning to manipulate the results. We will not allow them. Anambra is APGA and APGA is Anambra. APGA is our Igbo party,” Ibuzo noted. A former member, who represented Onitsha North 1 at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Mr Chigbo Enwuzo, said no amount of intimidation would compel Onitsha to compromise in the election. The Transition Chairman, Onitsha North LGA, Mr Patrick Agha Mba, said Obiano beautified Anambra State with infrastructure as he constructed various major roads including streets that cut across communities in Onitsha. While calling for support for APGA, Agha Mba noted that the Obiano administration empowered the youths and exposed them to various skills acquisition opportunities. He also promised to deliver all the wards to APGA on Nov. 6 .
Meanwhile, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA has debunked the allegation that Governor Willie Obiano and the Candidate of APGA, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, offered N10 billion to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to manipulate the election in favour of APGA. The National Coordinator, APGA Media Warriors Forum, Evang Chinedu Obigwe, who debunked this in Awka said the story lacked an iota of truth and should be disregarded by sane minds. Addressing journalists, Obigwe noted that “the above referred news report was a fabricated tissue of lies that can only fly in the foolish imagination of the kindergarten blackmailers handling the media job of Andy Uba campaign organisation. “In terms of character and track record, Soludo and Governor Obiano towers above Andy Uba. “The truth is that Buhari’s insistence on a Free and Fair election in Anambra on November 6 is frustrating Andy Uba.
“I will continue saying that if the votes of the Anambra electorate are allowed to count in the November 6 election, Andy Uba will lose the election in a disgraceful manner. “Another thing is that Andy Uba wants to use the fallacious story of the N10 Billion bribe to INEC officials to raise money for the execution of his plot to rig the election. “He wants to create the impression that APGA has earmarked N10 Billion for the election so that his evil cohorts will raise more than that N10billion for him for the execution of his rigging plot on election day. “This is 26 days to the election and he has not flagged off his campaign and he does not have plans to kick-start his campaign in the 21 LGA for the election. “That is enough proof that he is banking on rigging to win the election. Both him and his election rigging cohorts will get it hot from ndi Anambra on November 6. The general public should disregard Andy Uba’s Kindergarten blackmailers’ concocted tissue of lies. “
