Nigeria Premier Football League side, and Confederation of Africa Football, CAF, Champions League representatives, Remo Stars FC of Shagamu have extended its contract with head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede.
The new deal will keep Ogunmodede in charge of the Sky Blue Stars for the next three years.
The gaffer said the new contract will serve as a motivation ahead of the new season.
“Saying I am glad is an understatement. This is my club, my project. I’ve been here for years now, doing my thing and working relentlessly hard with a consistent behavioural pattern,” an excited Ogunmodede told the NPFL media.
“The good thing is I am happy that the club is able to see what I’ve done so far to have counted me worthy to have another (contract) extension. It is a big motivation for me to know that they appreciate what I’ve done so far.”
Remo Stars finished in second position in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL under Ogunmodede’s tutelage for the last two seasons.
He is expected to lead Remo Stars to this season’s CAF Champions League playoff against Morocco’s AS FAR on Sunday.
