Obiano, Soludo not in dispute over transition committee’s list – APGA

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has refuted the allegation that the Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano and the state’s Governor-elect, Prof. Charles Soludo have disagreed over the list of the members of the transition committee. It was gathered that the Governor-elect, Prof. Soludo recently released the 80-man list of the transition committee, where the former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili was nominated as the chairperson. National Star reports that mixed reactions thrilled the list, as there were speculations that Soludo did not consult Gov. Obiano before releasing the list and that party faithful were sidelined.

Reacting to the speculations while addressing newsmen in Awka, the National Coordinator APGA Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe stated that Gov. Obiano and Soludo enjoy a cordial relationship, while the governor had said publicly that his successor would perform better than he did.

Obigwe said: “I will advise sane minds to ignore his claim that there is an ongoing fight between Governor Obiano and Soludo over the transition committee list that was released by the governor-elect. “It was not today that Eneh Chigozie started spreading the fake news of a fight between the outgoing Governor Obiano and the incoming Governor Soludo. “The first time he made that claim, he anchored his reason on the absence of Soludo at the commissioning of the Awka Township Stadium and Governor Obiano’s absence at Soludo’s celebration of his father’s 90th birthday.

“Like I said before, Eneh Chigozie is a pay as you go writer doing the evil bidding of disgruntled opposition elements and what he is saying is their evil wish for Soludo and Governor Obiano. “But the good thing is that Governor Obiano and Soludo have overgrown the level of somebody turning them against each other. Many did it in the past and failed, so what they are doing now is exposing their evil wish that cannot be actualized.
