All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA has refuted the allegation that the Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano and the State’s Governor-elect, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo are in disagreement over the list of the members of the Transition Committee.
It was gathered that the Governor-elect, Soludo recently released the 80-man list of the transition Committee, where the former Minister of Education, Dr Oby Ezekwesili was nominated as the chairperson.
It was observed that mixed feelings and reactions thrilled over the list, as some speculated that Soludo did not consult Governor Obiano before releasing the list, while some speculated that party faithful were sidelined.
Some of these allegations were promulgated by one Eneh Victor Chigizie, who claimed to be a social media influencer.
Eneh Victor, in one of his write-ups, said, “The war between the incoming and the outgoing is real. Here is the official list of the Transition Committee headed by Oby Ezekwesili.
“No Aguleri man included. No APGA member included. No real politician included. No Victor Oye loyalists.
No Victor Umeh supporters. No cabal member on the list. No social media e-rats included. No political appointee. No TC chairman
“Only activists and ‘gra gra’ lawyers. Technocrats who always look for faults. No chop, I chop person in the group.” he alleged.
Reacting to the allegations while addressing newsmen in Awka, the National Co-ordinator APGA Media Warriors Forum, Evang. Chinedu Obigwe described Ene as a “pay as you go” write who dwell on ignorance.
Obigwe stated that Governor Obiano and the Governor-elect, Soludo had been enjoying a cordial relationship, which Governor Obiano had said publicly that his successor, Soludo would perform better than he did.
Obigwe said, “I will advise sane minds to ignore his claim that there is an ongoing fight between Governor Obiano and Soludo over the Transition Committee list that was released by the Governor-elect.
“It was not today that Eneh Victor Chigozie started spreading the fake news of a fight between the outgoing Governor Obiano and the incoming Governor Soludo.
“The first time he made that claim he anchored his reason on the absence of Soludo at the commissioning of Awka Township Stadium and Governor Obiano absence at Soludo celebration of his Father 90th birthday.
“As I said before, Eneh Victor Chigozie that is my pay as you go writer friend is doing the evil bidding of disgruntled opposition elements and what he is saying is their evil wish for Soludo and Governor Obiano.
“But the good thing is that Governor Obiano and Soludo has overgrown the level of somebody turning them against each other. Many did it in the past and failed, so what they are doing now is exposing their evil wish that cannot be actualized.
“The Governor-elect released his Transition Committee members list and the incumbent Governor Obiano has his own team that will work with Soludo team for a peaceful and smooth transition to the incoming administration.
“Soludo’s list is not the only list because the Governor has his own team that is made up of serving government officials.
“So what Eneh Victor Chigozie is displaying to the general public is his ignorance and at the same time, he is exposing the evil wish of the disgruntled opposition elements he is working for.
“As of today, I can confidently tell you that Governor Obiano has concluded arrangements on how to enjoy a stress-free life after his handover on March 17th and he is handing over as a fulfilled man that did his best for Ndi Anambra.
“On the part of His Excellency Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the Governor-elect, he is coming with new ideas and he is determined to effect a radical change in Anambra governance system.
“There is no any iota of truth in the claim that there is an ongoing fight between Governor Obiano and His Excellency Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo. The general public should disregard the unfounded rumour.
“So the report that the incoming Governor of Anambra State, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, did not include APGA members and supporters in the list of his Transition Committee members is a lie from the pit of hell.
“The State Secretary of APGA, Barrs Tony Ifeanya is an old member of APGA and he is on that list. Hon Nwabufo Nwankwo is a stalwart of APGA, he is also on that list. Dr Nelson Omenugha, the Son of the current Commissioner for Basic Education is a member of APGA, in fact, the whole of his family members are APGA stalwarts, he is on that list.
“Hon Chinedu Nwoye is a member of APGA and a diehard supporter of Soludo, he is also on that list. Thankgod Ibeh, a former APGA governorship aspirant is on that list. Rt. Hon Uche Okafor, Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly, a leader of APGA is on that list.
“Hon (Dr)Ben Nwankwo, a loyal member of APGA is on that list. Hon Amaka Obi, a diehard supporter of Soludo and a member of APGA is on that list. Chief Pat Ubajaka, fmr TC Chairman of Nnewi North is a member of APGA and he is on that list.
“Damian Okolo is a strong member of APGA and a former governorship aspirant in the party, he is also a member of the committee. Harry Uduh, the immediate past Head of Service is a member of APGA and he is on that list.
“So my readers will agree with me that the claim that Soludo sidelined APGA members in the composition of his Transition Committee members list is a complete lie from the pit of hell.
“I have told many people that the Transition Committee members are not necessarily those that will serve in Soludo cabinet and that is the bitter truth.
“Their job description is self-explanatory and that is to oversee the transfer of power from a friendly government that gave birth to the incoming friendly government. All we need to do is to trust Soludo, believe in his judgment, give him the needed cooperation and support to succeed in office.
“Am confident that he will definitely meet our expectations and make all his supporters proud,” Obigwe replied.
