Frank Onyeka is excited to play for the Super Eagles in his second Africa Cup of Nations.
Onyeka is anticipated to be included in Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations roster.
In 2021, the midfielder for Brentford made his debut for the AFCON in Cameroon.
Following the Super Eagles’ 1-0 loss against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia, that trip came to an end in the Round of 16.
The 25-year-old is eager to return to the tournament.
“I will always aspire to represent my nation on a major platform. I have to do that because it’s an honor to wear the green and white shirt,” he said to BBC Sport Africa.
“Now that I’m playing for the Super Eagles at AFCON, I was a young boy playing in the streets of Nigeria.”
“It is a dream come true, as you will now be a member of the team after previously watching Afcon legends.” I can’t wait for it to happen.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria are grouped with hosts Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau in Group A.
