The Theatre Commander, Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Major General CG Musa has inaugurated a Special Court Martial to try pending cases of alleged professional misconduct and offences by troops of Operation HADIN KAI.
The inauguration took place at Theatre Command Officers’ Mess, Maimalari Military Cantonment, Maiduguri.
Major General Musa disclosed that the court which is headed by Brig Gen Hamza Gambo would try leftover cases by some dissolved courts and some recently established cases involving personnel for professional misconduct.
While emphasizing the need for troops to uphold discipline as a critical Military regimentation, the Theatre Commander also urged the Judge Advocate, Members of the Court and the Prosecuting Council to exercise judicial fairness, balance and equity in the dispensation of Justice. He further assured the general public that the Court will be guided by the principles of natural justice, equity and fairness throughout the conduct of its proceedings.
The hitch free event was attended by Component Commanders, Chief of Staff HQs Theatre Command, Principal Staff Officers, Members of the Court, Judge advocate, Members of the Prosecuting and Defence Council and Members of the press.
