According to senator Orji Kalu, who represents Abia North, President Bola Tinubu has performed admirably in a few economic sectors.
He continued by saying that because people are starving, the president needs to take more action in other areas.
In an interview with Channels Television, Kalu stated that economic policies that increase food production are necessary for the nation.
“I’m sure the president has made progress in some areas, but there are still a lot of areas in which he needs to work.” He declared, “I fear no one, I’m a very realistic guy, and I believe in the truth.
“It’s difficult for me to answer since people are starving in some areas where President Tinubu has done so well in providing for our people’s food needs.

But we haven’t increased food production due to budgetary measures. I want to see more food grown here.
According to the former governor, the current inflation will not be addressed by the proposed N62,000 minimum salary.
“I believe that local governments ought to receive their full share of funding,” he continued.
Additionally, I don’t think N62,000 is that useful. N90,000—and there’s a very clear reason why I’m suggesting N90,000. The minimum wage hasn’t grown in the last five years.
