Mauro Meluso, the sports director of Napoli, disclosed that the team is finalizing Victor Osimhen’s contract details.
Osimhen’s present contract expires in 2025; however, it is said that he is prepared to sign a one-year extension.
It is anticipated that a release clause of €130–140 million will be included in the agreement.
According to Meluso, the Serie A winners will shortly reveal the terms of the new deal.
“We are used to working in the background and not making major announcements until everything is finished. President Aurelio De Laurentiis would undoubtedly be the one to deliver the news, Meluso told Mediaset.
We hope to reach a conclusion to the protracted negotiation process, but we won’t reveal anything until everything is sealed. We’ll wait and see over the next few weeks, but both sides are keen to finalize this agreement.
Osimhen has made 12 league appearances for the Partenopei this season, scoring seven goals.
