Osun ALGON Inaugurates Executive Council Of Forum Of Local Government Secretaries

The Osun State Chapter of the Association Of All Local Government Organization of Nigeria, ALGON, has inaugurated the Executive Members Of Forum Of Local Government Secretaries in a bid to further foster unity among local government caretaker committees in the state.

While inaugurating the 10 member Exco Committee of the Secretaries, the ALGON Chairman, Hon. Abiodun Idowu urged them to ensure the smooth running of the affairs of the local governments across the state and ensure that there is no conflict in any quarter.

He added that they also need to ensure a smooth working relationship between all the Chairmen of the local governments and the secretaries in the local governments for residents of Osun in general to enjoy the dividends of democracy which Governor Adegboyega Oyetola is determined to spread across the state.

While admonishing them to use the Forum to propagate and assist the good work of Governor Oyetola in their various councils, the ALGON Chairman stressed that they must work to ensure that the Governor is returned for a second term in office.

Hon. Idowu who described the Forum of local government Secretaries as an appendage of ALGON, noted that they are henceforth to see themselves as key stakeholders in the quest to make Osun great, while warning them that any one of them found to be involved in anti-party activities will be sanctioned.

Speaking shortly after the official inauguration, Chairman of the Forum, Hon. Fabunmi Sunday who is the Secretary, Boripe North L.C.D.A pledged the commitment of the forum to assisting the Oyetola administration to achieve its goal of putting smiles on the faces of Osun residents.

Also speaking, Secretary of the Forum, Hon. Ogungbemi Idowu who is the Secretary of Ayedaade Main Council, explained that the forum will work to ensure success for the Government of Governor Oyetola as well as see that the All Progressives Congress emerges victorious in the forthcoming Governorship election with Adegboyega Oyetola as Governor.

Meanwhile, the state ALGON has paid a condolence visit to the Ogiyan of Ejigbo, Oba Omowonuola Oyeyode Oyesosin over the demise of his wife which occurred recently.

Led by the ALGON Chairman, Hon. Abiodun Idowu commiserated with the monarch and the entire sons and daughters of the ancient town over the sad incident, praying that God should grant the departed soul eternal rest.
