Palliative: Keffi LG boss distributes 3000 bags of grains , cash to 1500 beneficiaries

In another round of palliatives distribution to cushion the effect of hardship that resulted from the fuel subsidy removal , no fewer than One Thousand Five Hundred (1500) residents of keffi town in Keffi Local Government Area , Nasarawa state were given bags of grains and cash.

The distribution of the items took place on Tuesday at the Keffi Police Barracks, under stiffed supervision by the council chairman Honourable Baba Shehu Mohammed in company of a senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Chieftaincy Affairs , Honourable Badamasi Dahiru ,who is also the Wazirin Keffi.

Addressing the beneficiaries, the Council Chairman ,expressed profound gratitude to the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria ,President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Nasarawa State Governor Engineer Abdullahi Sule for their philanthropic approach in cushioning the hardship citizens of the country are facing.

He however urged the beneficiaries to also exercise patience as the government is working hard to reaching out to the need of the people, appealing to those that are yet to receive theirs to be calm as the process shall be a continuous exercise as such thy should be calm.

Honourable Baba Shehu also cautioned the beneficiaries on selling the grains.And also drew the attention of mischief makers who are always in the act of fabricating fictitious social media post in the attempt to discredit government efforts to desist from the act.

According to him ” What was given us was Five Million Naira , which was what is being disbursed to the 1500 beneficiaries, who will be going home with #3,300 each.

” Apart from the cash, each of you will be given a bag of 5 kg of rice and 30 kg of maize” He said.

Our correspondent report that the distribution exercise lasted for 10 hours , from 9am to 6pm with Honourable Baba Shehu in full and active performance of the distribution of the items , engaging all the 10 elected councillors of the 10 wards in Keffi by ensuring that the beneficiaries were residents of the various captured wards.
