Big Brother Naija Season Seven winner, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has advised Nigerian women engaged in hookup services to pay greater attention to their appearance, dressing and overall presentation.
The reality television star made the remarks during a recent livestream, comparing the appearance of women offering such services in Nigeria with those she said she encountered in Kenya.
According to Phyna, the women she observed in Kenya appeared more deliberate about their outfits, hairstyles, footwear and makeup, which she described as part of their professional presentation.
“I want to kneel down and beg our hook-up girls. You girls are not even taking this your job seriously,” she said.
Recalling her experience in Kenya, Phyna said some women stood by the roadside wearing heels, with their hair neatly styled and their appearance suggesting they were prepared for business.
She contrasted this with what she described as the casual dressing of some women around Orchid Road and Farm City in Nigeria.
“You just wear clothes as if you are going to buy a recharge card; you’re wearing slippers. They’re wearing just any kind of gown like that. No makeup, no lip gloss,” she said.
Phyna questioned why some women in the business complained about receiving low offers from prospective clients when, in her view, they had not made sufficient effort to present themselves attractively.
She encouraged them to improve their appearance by wearing suitable footwear, applying makeup and paying attention to their clothing choices.
“At least girls, wear your heels, even if it’s two-inch heels. At least try and do a lip combo,” she advised.
