Pope Francis advises Christians “pray with your heart, not like parrots”

Pope Francis, a Catholic, has advised Christians to pray from the heart rather than the mouth.

During his speech to the entire public, the Catholic leader advised everyone to refrain from praying like parrots.

Instead, Pope Francis urged them to pray from the heart and ask the Holy Spirit to lead their dialogue with God.

“Please don’t pray like parrots! Avoid using the phrase “blah, blah, blah.” Say “Lord,” but without emotion; “Lord, please help me.” “Lord, you are loved.”

When you say “our father,” you should also say, “Papa, you are my father.” Instead of using your mouth to pray, use your emotions. The Supreme Pontiff advised people to stop acting like parrots.
