President Tinubu combines other ministries, removes two

The Federal Executive Council and President Bola Tinubu have eliminated the Ministry of Sports Development and the Niger Delta Ministry.

This was revealed in a post on his official X handle on Wednesday by Bayo Onanuga, the president’s Special Advisor on Information and Strategy.

He claimed that the FEC meeting in Abuja was where the decisions were made.

He stated that all regional development commissions, including the Niger Delta Development Commission, North West Development Commission, South West Development Commission, and North East Development Commission, will henceforth be supervised by a Ministry of Regional Development.

He added that going forward, the Ministry of Sports will be replaced by the National Sports Commission.

The president also gave his approval for the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Culture and Creative Economy to unite during the FEC meeting.
