The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has warned the All Progressives Congress (APC) to perish the thought of deploying federal might to manipulate the November 5 governorship election in Anambra State. National Co-ordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum, Evangelist Chinedu Obigwe stated this in his address to journalists in Awka. Evang.
Obigwe described the crisis rocking the state chapter of the APC as a political tsunami, predicting that APGA would emerge victorious through Prof. Charles Soludo. According to him, “I said it earlier that ndi Anambra hate Andy Uba with passion because of his undemocratic style of politicking. “Ahead of the forthcoming November 6 governorship election, 11 aspirants in the party that were aggrieved on how Andy Uba hijacked the APC ticket without a primary election, defected to another party in protest over the failure of their party’s leadership to address the injustice meted on them. “Remember that there were a total number of 13 aspirants that complained bitterly over the failure of the APC to conduct a free and fair primary. 11 governorship aspirants who defected to another party in protest, pledged their support to one of them who was among the 13 aggrieved aspirants.
“This is the resultant effect of Andy Uba’s undemocratic action. Ndi Anambra will not forget in a hurry that APC members openly confessed to Vice President, Yemi Osibanjo, that the APC is not in existent in Anambra. “They made the open confession at a meeting they had with the Vice President in Awka. What they told the Vice President is the reality on ground in Anambra. APC is not in existence in Anambra, hence the reason they cannot even boast of winning one seat in Anambra State House of Assembly that is constituted of 30 seats.
