Two additional commissioners from the cabinet of Governor Siminalayi Fubara have resigned, bringing the total number of resignations from the Rivers State Executive Council to nine.
Emeka Woke, the commissioner for special projects, and Austen Ben-Chioma, the commissioner for the environment, are the most recent resignations.
Ben-Chioma was the Commissioner for Urban Development in the last administration, while Woke was the Chief of Staff to Nyesom Wike, the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and a former governor.
Woke served as the Emohua Local Government Area’s previous local government chairman.
