Rotary Club president to prioritize maternal, child health

The newly elected president of the Rotary Club of Abuja Minister Hill, Rotarian Oro-Ghene Adia who is to serve 2024 – 2025 has pledged his commitment to prioritising maternal and child health for pregnant women, child immunization, nutrition screening, connect light to facilities

and give basic economic employment to some adopted communities of the Club in Abuja.

Rotarian Adia informed that he would also focus on economic and community development, basic education and literacy, peace and conflict prevention and resolution, water sanitation and hygiene, disease prevention and treatment, and environmental sustainability.

He.made the promise on Saturday during the club Change of Baton Project Fund Raising in Abuja.

According to him, As the Rotary Club of Abuja Minister Hill embarked on the magic of Rotary year 2024 to 2025, he is filled with hope, determination and deep commitment to service.

“I’m very prepared because Rotary is continuous, be also a Vice president as well as Chair in several committees in the last three years, I think that has prepared me for the role that I’m will take for the next one year, he said”.

“We have a whole to put smiles on the lives of people who are mazinalised in the community and we have our adopted community we have done assessments to ascertain the challenges surrounding maternal and child health, increase in mobility the people in the community are facing and we want to focus on that to see how we can support ANC sessions and immunization for children”.

“Also looking at the financial challenge in the country, we are looking at the community to see how we can support in basic financial savings called the village savings low scheme, we are looking at how to support the community to raise funds for themselves, families and also to get businesses for themselves this is done to alleviate the sufferings people in the community through the magic we want to create”.

“These are our assessment to really focus on maternal and child health and basic economic employment in the community”.

Speaking, Rotarian Daniel Etameta, immediate past President who doubled as the foundation chair of Rotary Club of Abuja Minister Hill applauded the newly elected president.

He noted that Rotary vision are cleared vision and it take great leaders and a great level of commitment, inspiration, intelligence, intellectual and emotional ability to lead a group of volunteers, people who are not paid or answerable to you for a reason, these are professionals in their own rights like doctors, lawyers, engineers, pilots quite lots of them, but within Rotary family everybody Bow To the throne listening to the President to ensure that the goal, vision of the president is closely followed.

He encouraged Rotarians and magic friends that their commitment, syringes, resources, compassion and unwavering commitment lies in their collective efforts.
