Russia has launched a barrage of drones in an overnight attack on Ukraine, injuring at least four people and damaging residential and commercial buildings in Kyiv and other parts of the country.
According to Ukraine’s air force, Ukrainian defenses destroyed 56 out of 88 Russian drones, while the military redirected 24 drones using electronic warfare.
According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, the drone attacks caused three injuries in the capital.
He continued by saying that drone debris also caused major fires in several sections of Kyiv, damaging multiple business buildings and destroying a residential residence.
Ihor Terekhov, the mayor of Kharkiv, reported that another person was hurt in the northeastern city.
The military reported damage in the southern Odesa region, while regional officials said the central Dnipropetrovsk region saw damage to both commercial and residential buildings.
