Revenue contractor for Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC),
Takushara Nigeria Limited, has called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the ICPC to investigate the Department of Outdoor Advertisement and Signage of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) for sabotage of revenue meant for AMAC.
Executive director of Takushara Nigeria Limited, Mr Donald Amagbo, who made the call in Abuja on Friday, accused the director of DOAS, Dr Babagana Adam, of frustrating revenue generation in the area council.
Amagbo explained that his company is the only technical partner approved to collect revenue on behalf AMAC, adding that DOAS has been frustrating the efforts.
He frowned that the director of DOAS had few days ago in the media, tagged him ‘revenue impostor’, which he described as defamation aimed at smearing him, and thwarting professional way of revenue generation.
According to him, “Babagana Adam is interested in smearing me and my company. I have never been arrested or invited for questioning by security agents or any organisation.
So it is very strange to me to hear, and read in media that I was arrested and released after pleading. When and where did security agents arrest me?
Adam is running a one-man show. EFCC, DSS, Police and ICPC should checkmate the DOAS director’s fraudulent activities in the name of revenue.”
