As a fallout of reported resurgence and wave of Covid19 pandemic and its impact on the general public, some measures are being put in place by some state governments ranging from partial to total shutdown of some social sectors including schools and markets among others.
Enugu state, like some others, had slated Monday January 4, 2021, as official resumption date for schools in the state after a two-week Yuletide break in its first term calendar.
However, the federal government had slammed an across the board reopening date of January 18, 2021, irrespective of local circumstance.
This trend had thrown critical stakeholders including parents and guardians of balance prompting the state to rise to the occasion.
The Enugu State Ministry of Education, therefore, said it has scheduled to meet with major stakeholders in the sector, on Monday, January 4, 2021, to discuss schools resumption in the state.
According to a statement released by the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Uche Eze, the outcome of the meeting will be duly communicated to the general public.
