Shatta Wale bemoans– Ghanaian music declining, Nigerian music rising

Dancehall performer Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., better known by his stage name Shatta Wale, hails from Ghana and has lamented the status of his nation’s music industry.

He bemoaned the fact that Ghanaian music was declining while Nigerian music was advancing.

The self-styled “King of African Dancehall,” who acknowledged the stark differences in the recent expansion of the two music sectors, claimed that Ghanaian musicians could no longer compete with their Nigerian counterparts.

Shatta Wale posted on his X Twitter, saying, “Naija music is going up.”

Going up
Going up
Nigerian music is rising.

“There’s no fighting them.

“Ghana music is fading.”
Dropping to the ground
Falling Ghanaian music is falling.
