Former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Prof. Charles Soludo has cleared the air on whether he will contest the November 6 governorship election in Anambra State.
Prof. Soludo, who said he was still consulting, revealed that he has accepted the call by the United Anambra Youth Assembly (U- AYA) and the United Anambra Women Assembly (U-AWA) to contest the governorship election under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Confirming his declaration, the founder of the two pressure groups, U-AWA and U-AYA and member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Chinedu Obidigwe stated that following Soludo’s acceptance of the call to contest the election, he has officially made his declaration.
Speaking at the New Year activation meeting of the two organizations which also included over 27 Soludo support groups, the former CBN governor noted that the hand of God is in his ambition, assuring that he would not disappoint his supporters.
“This is something that started last year January and has continued with such a crowd of supporters and shows that the hand of God is in this journey.
