Synergy: Military, Paramilitary, Others Hold Inter Agencies Route March in Maiduguri

Men and officers of the Nigerian Army, the Navy, the Air Force and the Nigerian Police Force as well as other paramilitary and security agencies including the Customs Service on Saturday had a Combined Inter Agencies Route March within Maiduguri Metropolis, the Borno State Capital.

This is the Maiden edition, hosted by the Theatre Command, Operation HADIN KAI of the Nigerian Army.

The Combined Inter-Agency Route March according to the General Officer Commanding GOC 7 Division, Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Abdulwahab Eyitayo, is to demonstrate that the entire security network is capable of providing the much-needed security to their host communities.

The event which took off from the 7 Division annex Pompomari Bypass terminated at the 7 Division Wolf Officers Mess, Government Reserved Area, Maiduguri.

Eyitayo noted that operating in jointness as Operation Hadin Kai is suggested, it means all the security forces are contemporaries and there is no need for show of superiority as all are Nigerians with a common goal of attaining peace.

“We must work in synergy and be able to see ourselves as friends, colleagues and contemporaries. The essence of this exercise is to engender confidence among ourselves and to also convince the host communities that we have capacity and capabilities at all times to give them the much-needed security,“ said the 7 Division GOC.
