The MNJTF remains a unique attempt to solving a nagging security problem as it has liberated and reclaimed lost territories hitherto occupied by the BHT in the region and also created an enabling environment for the conduct of humanitarian activities in local communities by local and international Non-Governmental Organizations such as ICRC.
The Force Commander Multi National Joint Task force (MNJTF) Major General Abdul Khalifa Ibrahim has tasked troops to sustain the tempo while dominating their areas of operation against remnants of Boko Haram and Islamic State in the West African Province ISWAP elements in the Lake Chad Basin.
In another development, the FC accompanied by the new DFC and other Staff Officers from HQ MNJTF paid an operational visit to HQ Sector 4 Diffa in Niger Republic on Saturday 03 September 2022. Also in attendance were the new Commander Sector 3 MNJTF (Nigeria) Brigadier General AE Abubakar, the new Commander 19 Brigade, Brigadier General Orakwe and some of their Staff Officers.
Ambassador Adeoye also paid special tribute to the personnel of the MNJTF who have paid the supreme sacrifice in the quest for peace. He concluded his remarks by thanking the personnel of the MNJTF on behalf of the AU for their dedication and selfless service and promised continuous support to the Force until its mandate is achieved.
The Force Commander (FC) Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) Major General Abdul Khalifah Ibrahim has lauded the courage and professionalism of the Air Component Command ACC whose pilots synergized effectively with the other Air Components of the MNJTF and inflicted heavy casualty on the insurgents, their equipment and locations noting that they have truly distinguished themselves.
