On Sunday night, terrorists carried out another vicious attack on the Kajuru-Station Community in Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, ensnaring 87 people.
Member of the Kajuru-Station Youths Harisu Dari verified the occurrence, emphasizing the horror that occurred at approximately 10 p.m.
Witness accounts state that in addition to kidnapping citizens, the assailants ransacked stores, stealing food and other valuables.
This attack comes only days after the kidnapping of 15 women and a man in the Dogon-Noma Community, signaling the start of yet another gloomy chapter in the growing crisis.
The state is currently experiencing increased tension as a result of kidnappings that have recently been concentrated on the local governments of Kajuru and Chikun.
Visibly shaken by what had happened, Dari described the intense stress the villagers had gone through following the attack.
He underlined how urgently the government needed to step in and that, as of this morning, no communication had been made with the residents who had been taken.
The depressing development has traumatized the residents. Like many impacted citizens, Harisu called for the government to rethink its approach to combating these terrorists.
The dismal total—more than 172 locals have been abducted in the area in the last two weeks alone—is increased by this most recent attack.
Security personnel have not yet been sent in to calm and safeguard the community that has been traumatized, despite the problem getting worse.
