Tinubu reinstated School feeding transfers program to Ministry of Education.

President Bola Tinubu has directed the school feeding program’s transfer from the Humanitarian Ministry to the Education Ministry in an effort to address the out-of-school children crisis and enhance learning outcomes.

Prof. Tahir Mamman, the minister of education, made this declaration at a session on enhancing educational activities.

The program, which was stopped under former President Muhammadu Buhari, will now be overseen by the Education Ministry and will serve the dual purposes of enhancing learning and providing students with wholesome meals. In order to “check the learning crisis” and provide a better learning environment for all students, President Tinubu feels that this relaunch is essential.

“To figure out how to put all of the policies created to address the issues into practice and assign accountability to various organizations in charge of solving the issue of out-of-school youth,” stated Minister Mamman, was the main focus of the retreat.

With the resumption of the school feeding program, hunger, poverty, and limited educational opportunities faced by children who are not enrolled in school should be addressed. The program can encourage enrollment and participation by offering a daily meal and a friendly atmosphere, especially in marginalized populations.
