In addition to stating that his administration will train more people, President Bola Tinubu has advised Nigerians to forget about those who are emigrating to countries with better opportunities.
Speaking on Monday in Owerri during Governor Hope Uzodimma’s second term as Imo State’s most important citizen, Tinubu advised Nigerians not to worry about the large-scale departure of qualified professionals from their nation.
The President promised that more people will be trained by the Federal Government in partnership with sub-nationals to close the professional gap that is now evident in the IT, health, and other industries.
Speaking to the state’s populace soon after the governor assumed office, Tinubu said that the ruling All Progressives Congress, or APC, placed a high focus on youth and child education.
“You can see that industrialization is the focus. There will be increased funding and focus on healthcare.
He responded, “Don’t worry about what you are hearing about the Japa syndrome; we will supply them ourselves and train more people.”
The President also told the people of the South-East that “the peace you are enjoying here will be better and we will work more to achieve that peace”.
