Traditional leaders in Umuahia curse kidnappers with bees, death,  rain

Traditional leaders in Abia State’s Umuahia North LGA have threatened to kill kidnappers who operate within the local government.

At a special prayer session on December 24, the monarch made the invocation while declaring war on bandits operating in Umuahia North, breaking kola nuts and alligator peppers, and pouring libations.

The royal fathers, under the leadership of Eze Innocent Nwaigwe, declared that any kidnapper who terrorized the natives of Umuahia North would be killed.

The traditional leaders also prayed for the safety of all Umuahia North natives and announced that the local government would have a calm and safe environment during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

In Umuahia North, the kings who used bees to sting out any kidnappers lurking in the bush threatened to kill or capture the bandits in person if they didn’t halt their heinous deeds.

The current Abia State administration has done well so far in terms of security and other leadership responsibilities, according to the Umuahia North Monarchs, who also prayed for God’s protection and direction for Governor Alex Otti.

Following the prayers, Eze Innocent Nwaigwe stated that the kings had prayed to the gods to visit abductors and execute them unless they repented of their wicked behavior.
