The Nigeria Football Federation and Greek Super League team PAOK Salonica have come to an arrangement to postpone William Troost-Ekong’s presence at the Super Eagles camp until after the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Troost-Ekong is one of the 25 players likely to return to action when the Super Eagles begin training for the competition on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
PAOK has received clearance from the NFF to use the center back against OFI on Tuesday in a league match.
On Wednesday, the defender is scheduled to report for duty overseas.
Following requests from their respective clubs (Omonia Nicosia and AC Milan) to start them in league and Coppa Italia games, the NFF has also allowed goalkeeper Francis Uzoho and Samuel Chukwueze to join their colleagues in camp on the same day.
The Super Eagles are anticipated to arrive in Cote d’Ivoire on Wednesday, January 10, after spending a week in Abu Dhabi.
