US election: WSJ says Battleground state voters favor Trump over Biden.

According to a new survey, former president Donald Trump leads President Joe Biden in all but one of the key battleground states that will probably determine their 2024 rematch.

A Wall Street Journal survey issued on Tuesday showed that, with seven months until the presidential election, Trump leads the president in six of the seven states surveyed (Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, and North Carolina).

According to the survey, Trump leads Biden by six points in North Carolina, where there are also independent and third-party candidates on the ticket.

In addition, Trump leads by five points in Arizona, four points in Nevada, and three points in Michigan and Pennsylvania.

In Georgia, the former president leads Biden by a point, while in Wisconsin, the two are deadlocked.

When those surveyed were presented with a head-to-head comparison between the former president and Biden, Trump maintained a comparable margin.

Remember that, aside from North Carolina, Biden defeated Trump by a tiny margin to win the presidency in 2020.

But according to the latest survey, Biden’s job performance was rated poorly in each of the seven battleground states.

Conversely, voters felt positively about Trump’s tenure in the White House in all states but Nevada.

Participants in the study indicated that they trusted Trump more than Biden to handle immigration and the economy; yet, the Democratic president was the favored  candidate to deal with the issue of abortion.

Recent worries about Biden’s physical health were also reflected in the polling results, with 48% of Americans believing Trump is more qualified to be president than Biden, and only 28% believing Biden is mentally and physically capable of serving another four-year term.
