US honors Irene Cole, Nigerian ex-Air Force officer

United States (US) President, Joe Biden has granted a Certificate of Honour to Nigerian-born former US Air force officer, Queen Irene Olasumbo Cole, in appreciation of her loyal and selfless devotion to the service of the country in the Armed Forces.

The statement on the certificate, which President Biden personally signed, says, “The United States of America honors the memory of Irene O. Cole.” This certificate is given by a grateful country in honor of a person’s committed and selfless commitment to serving in the US Armed Forces.

Thomas Cole’s family was the source of the late Irene Cole’s birth in Lagos State. She was the first granddaughter of Queen’s council member Hezekiah Oladipupo Davies (H.O.Davies). She was raised by Mama Olufumilayo Anikulapo Kuti, and after becoming the only woman from Nigeria to win Miss Legs, she rose to fame. Afterwards, she traveled to the US and enlisted in the Air Force. She also accomplished a great deal of work in a variety of fields before entering the sports world and winning the CATCH THEM YOUNG Academy title. She eventually became the Vice-President of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), representing all of Africa, and received awards.

Before she entered the real estate market and made her amazing move to create destination resorts (Queen Atlantic resorts Ghana), she was the QUEEN of boxing in Ghana.
She also battled for and was instrumental in the recovery of Sir Mobolaji Bank Anthony’s estate.

The excellent work was completed prior to the natural breeze. “Words cannot express how much we miss you,” said a statement from her friends in the USA, represented by Florence Carter, and her personal assistant in Nigeria, Christian Amariwu, in honor of the elevated prize. You were unmatched in your wit and knowledge, and you continue to be a caring mentor to everyone.

Today marks one full calendar year since your death, great lioness, voice of the oppressed, champion of the voiceless, and brave. We are bidding a great fighter farewell, America and the globe at large. May the calm of your soul continue to rest.
