The USAID Nigeria State2State Activity has supported Sokoto State Internal Revenue Service on the Development of Organizational Code of Conduct.
In June 2023, USAID State2State had provided technical assistance to the Sokoto State Internal Revenue Service to develop its organizational code of conduct.
On July 31, 2023, State2State handed over the code of conduct to the Sokoto State Internal Revenue Service (SOIRS).
The code of conduct which outlines the ethical principles and values of the agency is expected to promote integrity, accountability and trust in all activities of the agency, ensuring that employees and stakeholders act in an ethical manner in line with global best practices.
Receiving the document, the chairman of the Sokoto State Internal Revenue Service, Alh. Abubakar Zaki Tambuwal thanked State2State for the technical assistance provided in the development of the document. He committed to mass producing it for staff and stakeholders to ensure full implementation of the document.
