Video Showing The 21 Abducted Passengers Emerges

A video of the abducted passengers travelling from Kontagora to Minna in a Niger state Transport mass transit bus has emerged.

New National Star recalls that 21 out of 22 passengers in the bus were abducted in the attack, which occurred at about 2:00 pm last Sunday.

The bus was attacked at Yakila village in the Rafi Local Government Area of the state. The gunmen stopped the bus and started shooting sporadically, asking everyone to disembark before leading them into the bush.

It was, however, not clear how one of the passengers, a breastfeeding mother, escaped. The woman, who was traumatized by what she saw, explained that the gunmen blocked the road, ordered them to come down, and went away with the other passengers saying she did not know why she was not taken along.
