VIO Warns Against Use Of Sub- Standard  Fire Extinguishers

The Directorate of Road Traffic Services (DRTS) popularly known as VIO has encouraged motorists to Install right capacity fire estinguisher in their vehicles.
The Area Commander in charge of Kuje, Ekpe Paul Meregini disclọsed  in a chat with New National Star yesterday when he led patrol team to control traffic at the popular Tipper garage junction.
He further highlighted  the importance of the usage of the fire fighting equipment in the area of tackling out break of fire in the even of accident or sparks, noting that smaller vehicles should Install 2 kg capacity while heavy vehicles including pick up should used 5kg capacity fire estinguishers.
The Kuje VIO head lamented the negative attitude of motoring public due to constant violation of traffic rules and regulations just as he appealed to road users to always abide by the FCT traffic laws.
The Assistant Chief Road Traffic Offer (ACTO) noted that the Command under him would sustain  achievements recorded during the outgoing year, adding that traffic management and control would be enhanced in order to facilitate free flow of traffic in Kuje and environs.
The Area Commander also stated that patrol teams were stationed in the workship centres, filling stations and other traffic prone locations to decongest traffic during the yuletide.
He used this medium to call on management of  filling stations to seek the assistance of his office to control  qeue while selling fuel during this period of scarcity just as he warned that the Command would not allow indiscriminate parking to cause  traffic snarl in the area.
