Tems, a well-known singer from Nigeria, has finally shared her reasons for not wanting to date Asake.
Recall that Tems stated that Tyla and Asake are currently her favorite performers in an interview she did at the Time 100 Gala in New York.
However, Tems emphasized in her most recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM that she is not interested in dating Asake due of the lack of romance in their relationship.
Interviewer: “Are you interested in directing not only for yourself but also for other artists?” If yes, with whom would you like to collaborate?
Tems: “Asake is very artistic and has a unique way of thinking, so I would want to direct a video for him.”
“You just like him for work?” asked the interviewer.
“Just to direct the videos,” said Tems. Specifically, what do you mean?
Interviewer: “It’s because I own him.”
Tems: “Oh no. Have him all to yourself, please. You have him all to yourself. I don’t have a romantic crush on him. I know I’m okay since I have my own. However, I believe Asake to be a genuinely cool guy.
