AC Milan’s 2-1 victory over Newcastle United on Wednesday night demonstrated the value of Samuel Chukwueze and the team’s Nigerian-born talents.
Chukwueze, Fikayo Tomori, and Noah Okafor contributed favorably to the triumph at St. James’ Park.
Six minutes from time, Okafor put up Chukwueze, his fellow replacement, for the game-winning goal.
Fikayo Tomori, the center defender, had a strong performance in the hotly contested match as well.
For the Serie A powerhouses this season, Chukwueze has already scored twice in Europe.
Okafor’s mother is Swiss, while his father is from Nigeria. But the attacker has decided to play international football for Switzerland.
Tomori chose to play for England even though his parents are from Nigeria.
After the victory, AC Milan was eliminated from the UEFA Europa League.
