This Friday, March 15, is World Consumer Rights Day. Verisafety will give away free product authentication and anti-counterfeiting labels to one hundred manufacturing enterprises in Nigeria.
The creation of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program was prompted by the startling increase in fake goods on the market, which presents a serious problem for Nigerian producers and customers.
Every year on March 15, the world observes World Consumer Rights Day. This year, the theme is “Fair and Responsible AI for Consumers,” highlighting the significance of employing artificial intelligence (AI) in consumer interactions in a morally and openly manner.
Modern technology is used in Verisafety’s anti-counterfeiting labels, which make it simple for customers to use their smartphones to confirm a product’s authenticity.
“Verisafety is on a mission to protect both manufacturers and consumers from falling victim to counterfeit goods,” says Ms. Chiamaka Onwuama, the company’s business manager.
“We are dedicated to making sure that manufacturers can safeguard their brand reputation and that consumers can obtain authentic products.”
Through their Buy Right CSR Program, the business manager offered free anti-counterfeiting labels, expressing the company’s intention to significantly contribute to the battle against contaminated goods in Nigeria.
Onwuawa maintained that by enabling customers to make knowledgeable purchase decisions, Verisafety is contributing to the creation of a safer marketplace for all, even as she noted that the CSR program demonstrates Verisafety’s dedication to supporting consumer safety and ethical business practices.
