As part of efforts to develop a road map for the Aviation sector in the state, Yobe State Commissioner for Transport and Energy, Mohammad Mohammad Bara, and Permanent Secretary, Dr. Mustapha Abba Gaidam, visited key aviation agencies in Abuja.
The visit is to prepare for full commercial operation of the Muhammadu Buhari International Cargo Airport in Damaturu.
According to Dr. Gaidam, the team will visit Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Nigerian Airspace Management (NAMA), Nigeria Meteorological Agency (NiMet), and Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
The Commissioner announced plans to establish Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with these agencies to ensure seamless operations. He praised the state government’s efforts under Governor Mai Mala Buni’s leadership, expressing gratitude for the progress made.
