Nigerian Youths have said enough of the killings, kidnapping of youths, mostly students on a daily basis, while also giving the bandits and kidnappers till December 2021 to surrender their weapons to the government and embrace peace.
This was made known on Tuesday in Abuja during a Mega National Youth Peace Rally organized by the Nigerian Peace Project (NPP) a brainchild of the National Council for Self Unemployed Graduates (NCSUG) in support of all Nigeria security agencies that have been at the forefront to curb criminality in Nigeria and the government led by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Addressing the media, National President of National Council for Self Unemployed Graduates (NCSUG), who also doubles as the National Coordinator of the NPP, comrade Francis Akor said it will be a betrayer if the body maintained silence over the lingering criminalities perpetrated against the Nigeria youths on a daily basis, therefore, the need to champion this peace movement.
Ako further stated that, this awareness campaign is born out of their strong desire to organize and educate the Nigerian elites, especially the graduate as elites of the society on the need to reunite and shun violence and other criminalities and embrace peace to foster togetherness and attract development into the country.
“It is true that one hundred per cent of crimes in Nigeria is perpetrated by the youths, so this is the fundamental reason why we Nigerian youths under the aegis of NCSUG and other sisters organizations of like-minds have decided to come together to create, make and preach Peace through the Nigerian Peace Project with the theme; Operation Peace Must Reign in Nigeria;” he said.
Meanwhile, he added that they intend to carry out the rally to the 36 states of the federation starting in the next two weeks.
