Zelensky said on social media to Ukrainians, “There is no night or day when Russian terror does not try to break our lives,” in response to Russian missile assaults on the nation that night.
The President was in Bucha on Sunday to commemorate the two years since the city and its environs were freed from a terrible month-long Russian occupation at the beginning of the war, along with prime minister Denys Shmyhal and numerous foreign diplomats.
At the Wall of Remembrance in the town, which has the names of the 509 citizens who have been identified as having died during Bucha’s occupation, the Ukrainian leader lit a lamp.
