Delta state-based philanthropist, and aspirant of All Progressives Congress APC, Amb. Alapala Anthony Ebitonmo, has vowed that APC will not accept electoral fraud and rigging at the forthcoming general elections in Burutu local government area and Delta state in 2023.
Alapala, who is contesting for Burutu North constituency, Delta State House of Assembly, 2023, said, with the new Electoral Act 2022, the APC was ready to win the entire Burutu local government area and Delta state.
He spoke to newsmen on Saturday, shortly after a consultation meeting with the Chairman, APC Burutu Local Government, Mr. Seikemienghan Moni and the LGA executives.
According to him, ” since the election is all about the people, I have to consult the people of Burutu North constituency, to get their blessings and the assurances of their votes to enable me to represent them in Delta State House of Assembly in 2023. Some of the Wards and areas I have consulted were Eseimbiri ward 4, Ngbilebiri 2 ward 8, Ngbilebiri 1 ward 7, Obotebe/Burutu/forcados ward 10, Ogulagha/Iduwini ward 11, and my own Ogbolubiri ward 9″.
Alapala, a United Nations chartered Peace Ambassador, expressed confidence to secure the APC House of Assembly ticket for Burutu North, and urged the electorates in the constituency to reject electoral fraud and rigging at the general elections.
The former Chairman of Gbekebor Federated community, also reiterated on his desire to serve and offer quality, transparent and effective representation to the good people of Burutu North Constituency, that will usher in purposeful, people-oriented and lives changing programmes and as well infrastructural developments.
” our graduates, youths, young elders both skilled and unskilled in Burutu Local Government Area, need employment and we would ensure to adopt measures to attract investors to the area to create jobs”.
