2023 Election: Nasarawa west APC stakeholders trash out differences,vow to vote Engr Sule

Following the disastrous lost as recorded during the last presidential and National Assembly election in Nasarawa state ,critical stakeholders from Nasarawa  west senatorial zone met and trashed out the hip of dirts that  had stood tall as it resulted to losing the presidential election conducted on 25th Febuary 2023.

The meeting which lasted for hours was conveyed by the APC National Chairman,Senator Abdullahi Adamu at tue instance of the Governor of the State ,Engimeer Abdullahi Sule ,who was accompanied by the party’s state chairman,Dr John D.W Mamman,held on Thursday  in  Keffi VIP lodge of Keffi Local Government Area, Nasarawa State

Also in attendance were the speaker of the Nasarawa State  House of Assemnly ,Honourable Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, a servimg member of the House of representative,Abdulmumuni Ari Senator Danso Sodangi ,Chairmen of the five LGAs that constituted the western senatorial zone ,serving and former commissioners ,among others.

The meeting which focal agenda was to restrategise politically ahead of the governorship election, did not end without stock taking of causes that led to the Labour Party tsunami ,which swept across some LGAs in the state that gave the LP the mountainious figures it got to defeat the APC during the presidential election in the state.

Our correspondent report that five persons were selected to address the gathering on behalf of their locality,they include Senator Danso Sodangi ,for Nasarawa ,Honourable Mohammed Idris ,for Keffi, Honourable Samuel Akala ,stood in for Karu,while Barrisyer Abdulkarim Kana represented Kokona .

They expressed displeasure with the outcome of the residential election, but assured the governor that such will not be repeated in the upcoming governorship and state assembly election.

Senator Sodangi, in his message  of assurance to the governor ahead of his reelection ,blamed some individuals who were  engaged in anti party activities ,but however pleaded that all and sumdry APC members shoukd ensure that Governor Abdullahi Sule is returned elected for the second time.

On his part , Honourable Samuel Akala ,the immediate past chairman ,karu LGA , said it was not time for aportioning blames , he rather called on the people to strenghten their political tentacles to every community and ensure that the APC comes out victorious in the next election,without tourimg the path of sentiments.

Also, Barrister Abdulakrim Kana, the state Commissiomer for Justice ,said truth be told, so many things had gone wrong with tue politics of Nasarawa ,in that those that are guilty of certain misgivings would not admit theirs wrongs,instead ,tell you how good they are working for you.” But God has intervene in His own way for us to make amendements by shifting the election to mext week,therefore i appeal to us all to ho back to the drawing board and put the necessary checks that will helpnus succeed ” He added.

Governor Abdullahi Sule after listening keenly to the various speakers ,described the meeting as one meeting among all meetings.He thank the APC  National Chairman ,Senator Abdullahi Adamu for initiating the gathering which offers opportunity for a meeting with critical stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress from Nasarawa West senatorial district.

Engineer Sule said the presidrntial and national assembly election has come amd gone with people giving it whatever meaning they chose to ,it was an election that everyone  expect that the BVAS will do the accreditation, displayed the various party logos and at the same time people will cast their votes on the machine and the result  transmitted electronically to Abuja, because it was the first time nigerians were introduced to the use of BVAS.

” Infact a lot of people felt differently about the BVAS ,just like i never expected that there was going to be any paper and that some person were going to bypass the BVAS to do other things.

” That also brings  to my mind what senator Al-Makura told me some times, he said we shall be the first to take the first shot,so whatever that happens ,shouldnt be blame on anybody.So many governors lost their  elections ,Governor Lalong who is the DG for Asiwaju lost his state to the Labour Party at the presidential level and went on to losing his bid for the senate from his zone.

 ” The kebbi State Govermor ,who is the Chairman of Progressive Govermors ,lost his state and as well as his bid for the senate.My brother Ortom of Benue State , lost his chance of becoming Senator,infact of all places ,we didnt expect that we will lost Kaduna State ,the second home of my president.In katsina ,the original home of Mr President ,we also lost it to the opposition” He said.

Governor Sule averred that it is needless ,all the allusions and the blames coming from some quota, according to him ,coming back to Nasarawa ,if there was any place he stood firm amd fought to deliver was Lafia zone ,Senator Tanko Al-Makura’s seat ,even if it is to serve as a pay back” But we didnt just lost his seat,we also lost his ward” Engineer Sule lamented.
