Beverly Osu – ‘All my problems in life come from love’

Nollywood actress Beverly Osu has once again addressed the controversy surrounding her alleged intimate relationship with fellow Big Brother Africa housemate, South African dance instructor Angelo Collins, during the 2013 edition of the show.

Speaking in a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Osu reaffirmed that she did not engage in any sexual activity with Angelo on the show, contrary to widespread public belief.

She acknowledged that the scandal had a negative impact on her early career, but insisted that love has been the root of most of her personal challenges. According to her, she was deeply in love with Angelo at the time, which made her feel at ease around him and led viewers to misinterpret their closeness.

“I have people who genuinely love me for who I am. The truth is, I didn’t have sex on the show. I was just 20. I contributed a lot more to Big Brother than just that relationship, but people chose to focus only on that. It really upset me because I was just in love. All my life’s troubles stem from love—God’s most beautiful gift,” she said.

“I was completely in love with Angelo, and that’s why I acted so freely around him. I was in a relationship, should I have acted otherwise? I loved him.”

Previously, Osu had pointed fingers at Nigerians, accusing them of playing a role in the breakup of her relationship with Angelo.

“One day a newspaper claims I’m with one man, the next day it’s another. I honestly don’t know anymore,” she added.
