Former executive chairman of Warri South West Local Government Council, Delta State, Hon George Ekpemupolo has commended the Nigerian Upstream Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) for the award of Petroleum Processing License (PPL) for Ogbanabou Field (PPL213) to Niger Delta indigene, Chief Kestin Pondi.
The Nigerian Upstream Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), on Tuesday, at Abuja, issued the license to Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Limited, owned by Chief Kestin Pondi.
Excited with the development, Ekpemupolo, Chief Executive Officer, Geecoms Integrated Services Limited, in a statement, congratulated Board and Directors of Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Limited.
There have been agitations from the people of Niger Delta, demanding that marginal fields should be awarded to competent indigenes and their firms to also compete in the oil sector.
Ekpemupolo, further said: I thanked the Nigerian Upstream Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), for giving our brother this life-changing licence.
