Authorities in Maryland, USA, said on Wednesday that divers found two dead while looking for the workers who dove into the water following Tuesday’s collision between a cargo ship and the Francis Scott Key Bridge.
The two dead were discovered locked inside a red pickup truck that was submerged beneath 25 feet of water in the central span of the bridge by divers.
The victims, identified by Maryland State Police Superintendent Col. Roland Butler, are Alejandro Hernandez Fuentes, 35, of Baltimore, and Dorlian Castillo Cabrera, 26, of Dundalk.
Authorities have alerted the men’s relatives, according to Butler.

Butler added that authorities “firmly” believe the additional vehicles carrying victims are enclosed in superstructures and concrete from the fallen bridge, based on sonar investigations.
The span collapsed early on Tuesday after the ship struck a support pillar, as reported.
The ship was being hired by Danish shipping company Maersk, and it was owned by Grace Ocean Private Ltd. It was sailing from Baltimore to Sri Lanka.
