The residents of the Benue South Senatorial District have been reassured by Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia on the advancement of infrastructure in the region.
The governor promised to duplicate the infrastructure work that has started in portions of Zones A and B in Zone C.
“Infrastructure projects that have begun in Zones A and B will also reach Zone C. Zone C is impossible to overlook because, when you include all the zones, it has nine local governments. They are composed of honorable and industrious individuals,” he remarked.
The governor made the guarantee in Abuja during a celebration honoring Daniel Onjeh, the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) senatorial candidate for Benue Zone C in the most recent election, on his 50th birthday.
Alia also pleaded with Philip Agbese, the member of the House of Representatives for the Ado-Okpokwu-Ogbadibo Federal Constituency, to drop his complaints against the Benue governor. Alia was represented by his deputy, Samuel Ode.
According to the Agbese, the deputy spokesman for the House of Representatives now serving, took Alia’s image down from his desk, claiming the governor was unfit to manage the people of Benue.
Speaking on the subject, Ode emphasized that individuals must treat those in positions of authority with courtesy and asserted that the governor has the best interests of the state’s citizens in mind.
“I will ask a member representing Ado-Okpokwu-Ogbadibo to go back and return the governor’s portrait to his office,” the speaker said.
You might not always be aware of what is going on during a flight if you are not in the pilot’s seat. Benue is in good hands with Fr. Alia. Please don’t interfere. Since the government comes after God, let us show respect for those whom God has placed in positions of authority.
